The verdict first. SpicyChat is a strong, low-cost text roleplay app with configurable user personas, a limited free tier, and paid plans from about $5.95/month. If you mostly type, I'd recommend it. Its own pricing page shows the limit: automatic semantic memory doesn't start until True Supporter, and text-to-speech only arrives on I'm All In.
For the short version, GoLove.ai is where I'd start. One character carries you from chat to an in-chat photo of the same face, then a short video clip, then a voice call, all on one PRO plan.
You can judge this without an account. GoLove's chat works logged out, and each character's first photo shows right away, so you can check that her face matches her avatar before you pay anything.

Everything else scales with what you pay. A paid Memory Manager holds memories you save by hand, conversation image generation shows up on the higher tiers, and text-to-speech lives on the top tier only. What caught me off guard on the new pricing page was the distance between rungs. Going from Get A Taste to True Supporter more than triples the monthly price, and that's the first step up.

Which tier unlocks memory, images and voice
SpicyChat runs two kinds of memory, and they behave differently:
- Memory Manager: you pick what to save, by hand. It's a paid feature, but we could not confirm which rung it first appears on.
- Automatic semantic memories: the app holds onto relevant details itself, with no manual saving. These start at True Supporter.
Text-to-speech waits for I'm All In. In plain terms, memory you don't have to manage costs at least $19.95/month, and adding audio takes you to $29.95/month.
If you already pay for SpicyChat
Existing subscribers keep their earlier prices for as long as the subscription stays active and unchanged. That's a big win. Cancel or switch plans and it's gone, though, so think twice before you touch anything.

Is there a SpicyChat app? We could not confirm a native iOS or Android app, so start from SpicyChat's own website. Be wary of any store listing or APK using the name. Nothing we could verify ties those to the real product.

A lot of SpicyChat searches arrive misspelled, mostly typed on a phone. "Soicy chat ai" (the o key sits right next to the p), "spicy char ai" and "spicychat.aj" all mean SpicyChat. Typos are normal. Where they land you is the risk.

- Payment: don't type card details into a page you reached through a misspelled search. Go back and enter the address cleanly.

That consistency is what makes it feel like her and not a random render.

Turning that photo into a five-second clip
Under the photo, the chat offers a one-tap Generate Video. In about a minute you get a roughly five-second clip of the same scene, for 10 Stars.
Pro: zero setup, since the scene is already there. Con: five seconds is short.
The phone icon: calling the character you've been texting
Every chat has a phone icon that starts a voice call. Every message she sends also has a voice playback button, so you can hear her lines instead of reading them. Voice messages and calls are both PRO features.
Pro: her voice lives in the same chat as her photos. Con: you need PRO to hear it.
Put together, the photo, the clip and the call on GoLove all happen in the conversation you were already having, with the same character. On SpicyChat you'd have to climb tiers for media, and we could not confirm a call option at all.
SpicyChat and GoLove.ai on What Your Money Actually Buys
A fair split of what each subscription gets you, good and bad:
SpicyChat
- For: an entry tier at about $5.95/month (~$5/month billed annually), a limited free tier, persona-driven roleplay, and grandfathered prices for existing subscribers.

Giving Up SpicyChat's $5.95 Tier for a Character Who Calls Back
Choosing GoLove.ai costs you a few things, and I'd rather name them plainly.
The cheap entry goes first: SpicyChat's Get A Taste runs about $5.95/month, or about $5/month on annual billing. Its limited free tier goes too. On GoLove, the only free perks we could verify are 2 daily reward Stars and a limited daily Feed, which is nothing special. You also give up SpicyChat's persona-first roleplay setup, and text roleplayers love it for good reason. One more on GoLove's side: prices shift by region and promo, so the number at checkout may not match ours.
What do you get back? On PRO, one consistent character runs across chat, photo, clip and voice call, with no separate rung for each.
The math is closer than the entry prices make it look. SpicyChat's own route to text-to-speech already costs $29.95/month. That's more than GoLove PRO's monthly price at the October 2026 check (and on SpicyChat it buys you audio, not a call we could confirm).
